CC Sabathia's next win will be the 150th of his career. Last month CC Sabathia turned 30 years old. Let's assume he wins 6 more games in the last two months of the season. He would enter the 2011 season with 155 wins. Let's take a look a the projected breakdown of his wins assuming he remains a Yankee for most if not all of his career.
2011 - 18 wins (173) age 31
2012 - 18 wins (191) age 32
2013 - 17 wins (208) age 33
2014 - 17 wins (225) age 34
2015 - 16 wins (241) age 35
2016 - 16 wins (257) age 36
2017 - 15 wins (272) age 37
2018 - 14 wins (286) age 38
2019 - 14 wins (300) age 39
Now these projections are not far off. He will pitch the first half of every season one year younger than the listed age. As he will continue to pitch for the Yankees, win totals will be high. If Jamie Moyer is able to squeeze out 12 wins a year with his terrible stuff, CC will easily surpass 300 wins as long as he remains healthy, which he has for the most part so far in his career.

There is no doubt Jacory Harris has an immense amount of talent. Last year, his first full season as UM’s starting QB, 19 year old Jacory had an up and down season, the latter half plagued with injuries. He carried Miami to victories, but he also dragged them down in several losses. Jacory was in the top 15 in passing yards, but was 2nd in the country in INT’s. This season, his Junior season, projects to be a great one. He has arguably as good receiving talent around him as any QB in the country. Big things are expected from him and many other top returning QB’s. Let’s take a look at which QB’s should be frontrunners to compete for the Heisman Trophy. (in no particular order)
Jacory Harris, QB, Miami - 59.6% passing, 3352 yds, 24 td, 17 int
Case Keenum, QB, Houston - 70.3% passing, 5671 yds, 44 td, 15 int
Kellen Moore, QB, Boise St - 64.3% passing, 3536 yds, 39 td, 3 int
Jerrod Johnson, QB, Texas A&M - 59.6% passing, 3579 yds, 30 td, 8 int
Ryan Mallet, QB, Arkansas - 55.8% passing, 3627 yds, 30 td, 7 int
Blaine Gabbert, QB, Missouri - 58.9% passing, 3583 yds, 24 td, 9 int
Jake Locker, QB, Washington - 58.2% passing, 2800 yds, 21 td, 11 int
Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford - 56.3% passing, 2575 yds, 13 td, 4 int
Christian Ponder, QB, FSU - 68.8% passing, 2705 yds, 14 td, 7 int
Matt Barkley, QB, USC - 59.9% passing, 2735 yds, 15 td, 14 int
Terrelle Pryor, QB, Ohio State - 56.6% passing, 2094 yds, 18 td, 11 int
Landry Jones, QB, Oklahoma - 58.1% passing, 3198 yds, 26 td, 14 int
Honorable Mention - Robert Griffin, QB, Baylor - John Brantley, QB, Florida - Garrett Gilbert, QB, Texas - Greg McElroy, QB, Alabama - Tyrod Taylor, QB, Virginia Tech - Andy Dalton, QB, TCU
Just throwing my two cents out there as a non-Heat fan. Much has been made about the Heaters addition of SG/SF Mike Miller. Yes he is an oustanding shooter. Yes he is former college roommate/teammate of Heat forward Udonis Haslem. Yes he has outstanding hair. But let's step back and take a look at this.
Mike Miller - 5 year deal in $25 to $30 mil range. Great shooter. Average defense. Will be coming off the bench
Quentin Richardson and Raja Bell - 3 years deals for combined $17.5 mil. Both good shooters. Both good defensively. Raja Bell being great defensively. Both would come off the bench.
By signing the the pair, not only would the Miami Heat have been far deeper as a team, they would have been able to pay Udonis Haslem more money which he disrespectedly has been denied, and than would still have money left over to play around with.
Mike Miller is a good player, but when you start comparing numbers to these players and other "great" shooters who come off the bench, his contract is a complete waste in building a championship team.
