So one would think that Mike and Mike would be the flagship of any ESPN Radio station. They have become the biggest ESPN brand outside of SportsCenter. With four hours a day on ESPN 760, five days a week, the 20 total hours of airtime should lead one to think they would be the faces of ESPN 760 right?

Well not so fast. Somehow John Martin has his cackle heard more than anyone else on ESPN 760 on a weekly basis...let's do the math:

3 hrs a day x 5 days a week with me = 15 hrs

2 hrs a day x 5 days a week with JMP = 10 hrs

2 hrs a week on the Sunday Sports Spage = 2 hrs

1 hr a week with Steve and Craig  on the podcast = 1 hr

6 minutes a week on Around Town = 6 mins

J-Mart total weekly airtime: 28 hours 6 minutes

ESPN 760 has made the wise decision of putting J-Mart on the air 8 hrs and 6 minutes longer than Mike and Mike every week....oh boy.

We've heard about the Bill Walsh tree and the Chuck Knoll tree but as of late there are only two coaching tree's that matter in the NFL..Bill Parcells and Tony Dungy. Every year, but two, since 2002, a Parcells or Dungy disciple has coached in the SB.

2010: Sean Payton (Parcells) vs. Jim Caldwell (Dungy)

2009: Ken Whisenhunt (Parcells) vs. Mike Tomlin (Dungy)

2008: Tom Coughlin (Parcells) vs. Bill Belichick (Parcells)

2007: Lovie Smith (Dungy) vs. Tony Dungy

2006: Mike Holmgren vs. Bill Cowher

2005: Bill Belichick (Parcells) vs. Andy Reid

2004: Bill Belichick (Parcells) vs. John Fox

2003: Jon Gruden vs. Bill Callahan

- I do not in any, way, shape or form think that the Seattle Seahawks job is a better one than USC, it is better than USC on probation though.

-What a tough decision Jeff Fisher would have if he gets a call from USC. If the Trojans are NOT on probation, do you chose arguably the best job in college football at your alma matter or do you chose coaching Vince Young? I would stay in Nashville if I were Fisher because VY can win a Super Bowl for him.

- If I were USC I would hire Chris Peterson from Boise State and wouldn't think twice about anyone else.

- I have not been able to figure out why Mike Holmgren kept Eric Mangini on board in Cleveland, that is until now. It is clear to me that Holmgren wants to coach again. After the 2010 season, Holmgren will have then taken 2 years off from coaching and thus recharging the battery. Assuming Mangini doesn't take the Browns to the playoffs this year, it's going to be alot easier for Holmgren to fire Mangini than it would be for him to bring in a friend of his now and then fire him after a year if he gets that itch again.

- The Dolphins should bring in either or both of Al Groh and Romeo Crennell to replace LB Coaches Jim Reid and George Edwards.
